Hearing Healthcare Services
New Patient Exam & Consult
1 Hour
Dr. Strecker will sit with you and discuss your hearing health history and any concerns regarding your hearing. She will also discuss any goals you have for improving your hearing abilities, focusing on social, emotional, occupational, and recreational needs. She uses state-of-the-art hearing testing equipment that does not require a testing booth, so you will feel at ease in her office space. Dr. Strecker will then review the testing results with you and discuss her recommendations. If a hearing aid(s) is recommended, she will help you choose the appropriate solution and then schedule a hearing aid fitting appointment.
Hearing Aid Fitting
1 Hour
At your hearing aid fitting appointment, Dr. Strecker will ensure the hearing aids are fitted properly to your ears and programmed specifically to your hearing loss. She will conduct a thorough review with you of proper use and care of the hearing instruments as well as demonstrate proper use of any accessories such as cellular phone Bluetooth applications, remote controls, remote microphones, or TV Streamers when applicable. Dr. Strecker will conduct specialized testing to ensure the hearing aid fitting is optimal. She will then schedule a follow-up with you that may be either in-person or virtual depending on your hearing aid technology and your discretion.
Hearing Aid Maintenance & Repair
30 Minutes
It is recommended that patients schedule an appointment routinely every 12 months for hearing testing and hearing aid cleanings to maintain optimal benefit.
Should a hearing aid malfunction, patients are encouraged to contact Dr. Strecker. She will help you determine if the hearing aid may be repaired quickly in her office or may require a manufacturer's repair.
Most hearing aids now allow for virtual fine-tuning (programming) so it is always recommended patients call or email Dr. Strecker to determine the best course of action and if an in-person visit is required.
